UHF INTEGRATED CIRCUIT TECHNOLOGY.
Abstract
The report discusses the inverted common collector configuration and it is shown that an inductance having useful values of L and Q can be simulated. This simulated inductance has been applied in the design of a common emitter amplifier. The iterative properties of a single stage are discussed and a proposed two-stage amplifier is analyzed. Amplifier performance is predicted in some detail by both approximate analytical methods and by detailed machine computations. It is also shown how Butterworth and Chebyshev type responses can be synthesized. The predicted performance of the circuit has been verified by the construction of a one-tenth frequency scale model for which data is given. (Author)
