ON THE CALCULATION OF THE LARGEST EIGENVALUE OF AN INTEGRAL EQUATION.

Abstract

Two methods are given for obtaining computable bounds for the largest eigenvalue of a linear integral equation with a continuous, symmetric, and non-negative, kernel. Several numerical examples are presented. (Author)
