ON THE ACCURACY OF MEASUREMENTS WITH QUARTZ GRAVIMETERS WITH A HORIZONTAL TORSIONAL THREAD,

Abstract

It was established that in quartz gravimeters with a horizontal torsional thread and liquid temperature compensation (Norgaard, SN-3, and GAE-2 gravimeters) the error of the reading is little affected by the measured angle of spread, and it is generally characterized by a value of plus or minus 0.20 to 0.30 mgal.
