FORCE TESTS OF THE HYPERSONIC BALLISTIC STANDARD MODELS HB-1 AND HB-2.

Abstract

Wind tunnel force tests were performed to determine the aerodynamic characteristics of the hypersonic standard models. Force and static stability parameters were determined at Mach numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.5 and 9.2 at constant Reynolds numbers. The results were compared with those from similar tests of these models in other wind tunnel facilities, and a very good correlation was found. (Author)
