A REVIEW OF METHODS FOR ESTIMATING HARMFUL PITCH IN WOODPULPS.

Abstract

Describes the development of and procedures for two basic methods, mechanical agitation and air flotation, for measuring the amount of harmful pitch in woodpulps. The procedure for the air-flotation method as adapted at the Forest Products Laboratory and the procedure for an impeller-agitation method are included.
