Abstract

The book discusses various aspects of the technology of heat treatment of motor vehicle parts. Further, it gives an account of the practice of heat treatment, both of blanks for motor vehicle parts and of semifinished parts and provides theoretical substantiation of the transformation phenomena which take place in the structure of metals as a result of heating and cooling. The book also deals with advanced technology which is developing on the basis of use of high-frequency heating of parts. The book is intended for technologists and designers who work in the automotive industry or at maintenance depots. (Author)
