AN EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN WITH A BOUNDED STATISTIC.

Abstract

The report deals with a new method of handling statistical problems. It incorporates the use of two statistics in determining the test of a hypothesis and is a pseudosequential process. The assumption is made of an underlined poisson distribution. The uniform most powerful test is determined. The test is particularly useful in determining the mean time between failures of a given piece of equipment when only one item is available for the test. The example of a computer is cited. (Author)
