CONCERNING THE NONLINEAR THEORY OF THE STRATIFIED POSITIVE COLUMN,

Abstract

An extension of previous computations (Zhur, Eksptl. i Teoret. Fiz. 34: 1496, 1958) indicates that variation in density of charged particles along the axis of the discharge tube causes either damping or intensification of stratifying, depending on the atomic properties of the gas. (Author)
