DEFORMATION AND THE ROLE OF THE TEMPERATURE FACTOR IN THE PROCESS OF CUTTING OF TITANIUM ALLOYS

Abstract

The objective of this study was, first, to compare the hardening of titanium alloys with the strain hardening of alloys based on nickel and iron depending on the cutting parameters in different types of machining. Secondly, the aim was to determine the characteristics of hardening in the layer under the machined surface during the cutting of titanium alloys.
