ALKALI METAL SOURCE OF IONS,

Abstract

The paper contains the development of the construction of the alkali metal ion source which offers the possibility, in contrast to existing constructions, to function in unsoldered (sealed-off) systems. The operation of the source is based on phenomena of thermoionization of alkali metal atoms on a highly heated (heated to a high temperature) surface of a metal with greater work function. (Author)
