THE DETERMINATION OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY BY MEANS OF MELTING PHENOMENA.

Abstract

The property of melting is used to provide a cheap, quick and reasonably accurate determination of thermal conductivity, needing very little preparation or apparatus. The method is free from the need for constant ambient conditions, and can accommodate specimens of moderate flatness and any reasonable size and shape. (Author)
