MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS OF A SIMPLIFIED HYDRAULIC VIBRATION REDUCER.

Abstract

The report presents a mathematical analysis of a tuneable device which is added to a ship's propulsion system for the purpose of minimizing longitudinal hull vibrations. Equations are developed which permit the determination of the required characteristics of this device. Finally, some representative values are substituted into these formulas and the resulting characteristics of the device are determined. (Author)
