CUSTOMS AND TABOOS OF SELECTED TRIBES RESIDING ALONG THE WESTERN BORDER OF THE REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM,

Abstract

The study presents information on the customs and taboos of the tribes residing along selected trails leading into the Republic of Vietnam. Nine tribes are studies, primarily selected for their size, prominence, and location along the common border of the Republic of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Physical characteristics and religious beliefs are also discussed. (Author)
