Abstract

An automatic compensating winch was conceived, designed and built at the Model Basin. Since the electrical system and control console form a separate entity this report was prepared to give a detailed circuit description and the operating procedure with only a minimum of reference to the mechanical aspects which will be covered in a subsequent report.
