NUMERICAL SOLUTIONS OF AXISYMMETRIC THERMAL STRESS PROBLEMS.

Abstract

A computer program was written to work thermal stress problems in right circular cylinders by finite-differences. This program was used to work several example problems, and to determine the best method of solution of the finite-difference equations. It is proposed that this method be extended to more general axisymmetric shapes.
