INSTALLATION CRITERIA FOR CAPTURE EFFECT GLIDE SLOPE.

Abstract

The general theory of the capture effect glide slope which is useful at problem sites is described. Radiation patterns are plotted showing the cancellation techniques employed for eliminating energy striking discontinuities in the approach area so as to provide improvement in flyability. Details are given for generating the auxiliary signal, slightly offset in carrier frequency, which insures adequate clearance below path without derogating the flyability. A monitoring system for the new array is described in detail. (Author)
