INSTRUMENTATION SYSTEM FOR EVALUATION OF AUTOMATIC DEGAUSSING CONTROL SYSTEMS.

Abstract

The report describes special instrumentation recently developed by the David Taylor Model Basin which is now in use at the Navy degaussing stations at Norfolk, Virginia and San Diego, California for the evaluation of automatic degaussing control systems installed aboard fleet minesweepers. The design problems are reviewed and the system's function is outlined. Photographs, schematic diagrams, and references are included with complete operating and maintenance instructions. (Author)
