EXPERIMENTAL BAND-PASS LIMITER ENVELOPE DISTRIBUTIONS AND STATISTICS.

Abstract

A method is developed for approximately predicting the mean and standard deviation of the output of a detection system consisting of a band-pass limiter followed by an envelope detector. The input to the system consists of a sinusoidal signal plus Gaussian noise plus sinusoidal interference. These results are used to predict detection and false alarm probabilities. Experimental data is presented and compared with predicted results. (Author)
