CASCADE DATA FOR HIGH CAMBER BLUNT TRAILING EDGE BLADES,

Abstract

A blunt trailing edge blade is tested at inlet Mach numbers varying from 0.60 to 1.00, over an incidence range of -3 to +7 degrees. Increase of the solidity from 2 to 3 increased turning and static pressure coeffcient by 6 degrees and 7% respectively. The corresponding minimum loss coefficient decreased from 20% to 17%. Important compressibility effects are observed in this high cambered blade passage. This allows back pressure application. Systematic testing is performed for the incidences at Mach number 0.80 and 9.90. (Author)
