DETERMINATION OF MOLECULAR WEIGHT BY USING AN ANALYTICAL ULTRACENTRIFUGE,

Abstract

The modification of the method of Archibald--Kegeles, incorporated with the use of a boundary forming cell filled with two solutions of the same high molecular compound in the same solvent, but with different concentrations, makes it possible, according to the theory developed, to calculate the apparent molecular weight at the meniscus and at the bottom of the cell from the data of one experiment.
