ON THE USE OF SPLINE FUNCTIONS FOR THE APPROXIMATION OF SOLUTIONS OF ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS.

Abstract

Approximations to solutions of differential equations are obtained which are spline functions of degree 2q having q continuous derivative (q is any natural number). These approximations become explicit for the equation y' = y.
