MAGNETIC AND GRAVITATIONAL FIELDS OF THE BAIKAL REGION AS RELATED TO ITS SEISMICITY,

Abstract

The Baikal region is one of the most seismic areas of the globe, because of crustal re-working (reactivation) of the Caledonian platform. This document describes the gravity field of the transbaikal, the magnetic field of the Baikal region, and the pattern of depth-faults and seismicity in the Baikal region. Also included are comments by the translator, describing the Baikalian rift system.
