RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF ANALOG MODELS,

Abstract

In a program of research and development of simulation models for Air Force Cambridge Research Laboratories (AFCRL), methods were studied for establishing analog models for problems submitted by laboratory scientists and Data Analysis Branch Mathematicians at AFCRL, and implemented for solution on the AFCRL analog computer. Ten problems were submitted during the past year in the fields of electro-magnetic ray propagation, mathematics, magneto-hydrodynamic shock waves, bio-medical engineering, satellite dynamics and orbital mechanics. Nine of the ten simulations gave significant results to the problem initiators. (Author)
