DETERMINATION OF ETHYLENE DIMETHACRYLATE AND CAMPHOR IN PROPELLANTS BY GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY.

Abstract

Methods were developed for determining ethylene dimethacrylate (also known as ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) and camphor in nitrocellulose-base propellants by gas chromatography on the methylene chloride extract of the propellant. A Carbowax 20M column on Chromosorb W is used for both determinations. Methyl benzoate is used as an internal standard for the determination of ethylene dimethacrylate, and methyl salicylate is used as an internal standard for the determination of camphor. (Author)
