THE CRYSTALLOGRAPHY OF SOLID NITROGEN OXIDES: SODIUM HYPONITRITE.

Abstract

Previous x-ray diffraction studies of sodium hyponitrite were reported in AD-604 476. The present report develops the results obtained in the continuation of an effort to deduce the structures of sodium hyponitrite as the molecule is associated with various waters of hydration. The formerly recognized pentahydrate is found to be a three to four hydrate compound with the waters loosely bound in the lattice.
