NITROGEN-PHOSPHORUS POLYMERS

Abstract

A variety of chemical systems containing phosphorus nitrogen bands were investigated as potential intermediates for the synthesis of polymeric materials having extreme thermal and chemical stability. These investigations include the preparation and reactions of a variety of compounds with four- membered ring systems containing alternate P and N atoms, compounds with four- membered ring systems containing P, N and C atoms, and compounds containing P-N- P chains; and the preparation of phosphonitrilic chlorides and their derivatives.
