EXCESS FREE ENERGIES OF BINARY MOLTEN SALT MIXTURES FROM EMF DATA.

Abstract

The calculation of the excess free energies of binary molten salt mixtures from emf data is developed from an expression which relates the total excess free energy to the mole fraction of one component. Results are reported for the systems: AgI-AgBr; AgI-AgCl; AgBr-PbBr2; AgCl-KCl; CeCl3-CaCl2; MgCl2-NaCl; CeCl3-KCl; MgCl2-KCl. (Author)
