EVALUATION OF ASSAY METHODS FOR ELEMENTAL ALUMINUM. INTERAGENCY CHEMICAL ROCKET PROPULSION GROUP, WORKING GROUP OF ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY, ROUND ROBIN NO. 29.

Abstract

Round Robin No. 29 of the ORKING Group on Analytical Chemistry (ICRPC) was conducted for the purpose of evaluating two assay methods for elemental aluminum and a method for measuring average particle diameter. Interlaboratory agreement was not obtained in any of the test methods, although intralaboratory agreement was good. The reason for this disagreement is unclear, but a need for calibration standards and closer supervision of round robins is indicated. No basis for changing specification methods was established.
