A STUDY LEADING TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TROPOSCATTER SIMULATOR.

Abstract

The work during this period was mainly circuit design and hardware procurement. Chassis construction and printed circuit board fabrication was begun. The varilossers and buffers were changed to use a differential amplifier configuration to decrease loading effects. The cable equalizers use a cascode configuration to obtain higher gain. The programming effort for the simulator continued during this period. The extended arithmetic feature was installed in the PDP-8 and checked out. Several routines for testing the simulator hardware were written and debugged. (Author)
