Abstract

High Temperature Carbon-Zinc Development Contract Number DA28-043-AMC-02391(E). Discussion of development of a carbon zinc battery capable of prolonged storage at high temperatures is given. This includes a discussion of and data comparing the wafer cell and the round cell construction. A summary of the ability of the present product at these temperatures is given. The Burgess mechanically sealed cell is described and discussed. And gassing experiments conducted with certain inhibitors are given. (Author)
