STATIC WIND TUNNEL TESTS OF THE M823 RESEARCH STORE WITH FIXED AND FREE-SPINNING TAILS,

Abstract

The M823 configuration is an instrumented free fall store used in bomb stability research programs. The report presents the results of the static wind tunnel tests of the basic forebody to which have been attached various stabilizers. These stabilizers include fixed and free-spinning cruciform tails and free-spinning monoplane tails. (Author)
