INVESTIGATION OF RBDE-5 HORIZONTAL DISPLAY AC INTERFERENCE PROBLEM.

Abstract

An investigation was performed at NAFEC, Atlantic City, New Jersey, to determine the source of ac interference on the TV roster of the RBDE-5 horizontal display when operated at vertical sync rates other than ac line frequency. It was concluded that the interference ('swimming') was caused by ac potential differences between gound points within the display. The recommendation is made that all RBDE-5 horizontal displays be modified to insure proper contact between critical ground points. (Author)
