THE CHARACTERISTICS OF ATMOSPHERIC PROCESSES ON DAYS WITH A LOW CLOUD COVER,

Abstract

The low cloud cover is considered in different synoptic processes, the objective evaluation of which is accomplished with the aid of the quantitative characteristics of the transfer rates, advective changes in temperature and humidity, vertical motions, turbulence and also local pressure changes. The differences in the values of indicated parameters make it possible to separate three main groups of processes that are also distinguished by certain properties of the lower layer of the atmosphere, in which there occurs formation of the lower-layer cloud cover.
