THE OVERALL FALSE ALARM PROBABILITY FOR A RADAR SEARCHING OVER A WIDE INTERVAL OF RANGE.

Abstract

The overall false alarm probability is calculated taking into account the variation of target strength with range. It is assumed that the two types of error probabilities are arranged to be in constant ratio for targets at all ranges. Both slow-fading and fast-fading targets are considered. (Author)
