VIDICON DEFLECTION SYSTEM,

Abstract

The use of television camera tubes for obtaining accurate spatial measurements of images requires very linear deflection currents. This report describes the factors which must be considered in designing sweep generators and amplifiers for slow-scanning of vidicons where deflection errors of no more than 1/2 percent are permitted. Included in the report are descriptions of some of the circuitry developed, and an account of how well their performance corresponded with the analysis. (Author)
