DYNAMIC CALIBRATION OF PRESSURE TRANSDUCERS AT THE BRL SHOCK TUBE FACILITY

Abstract

Dynamic pulse calibration methods and types of pulse calibrators currently in use at the Ballistic Research Laboratories (BRL) Shock Tube Facility are described. Records typical of the various calibration methods obtained from piezo-electric tourmaline transducers are shown. Results from the various calibration methods are found to be in agreement with each other within plus or minus 1.5 percent.
