Abstract
The patent describes an optical glass which contains SiO2, B2O3, GA2O3, NA2O, LI2O. A noncrystallizing glass with shortened partial dispersion in the blue portion of the spectrum is produced by using (in wt %): SiO2--30-60; B2O3--less than 12; GA2O3--30-40; NA2O--less than 8; LI2O--less than 5; and in addition BaO and ZnO--2-10.
