MICROWAVE ALL-PASS NETWORKS FOR ANTENNA FEED SYSTEMS,

Abstract

The report presents a comprehensive theory for the development of distributed feed systems for use with reflector antennas. The feed systems which are generated consist of linear, lossless, multiport networks used in conjunction with an array of small radiators that is distributed transversely in the focal regions of the antennas. The first part of the report is devoted to the analysis and synthesis of reciprocal, lossless, all-pass 2n-port networks. Several new members of this class of networks are described. The second part deals with the application of these networks to the problem of approximating families of electric field distributions in the focal regions of reflector antennas. (Author)
