AN ADAPTIVE ORDER POINT-ORDER QUANTITY INVENTORY CONTROL PROCEDURE,

Abstract

An order point-order quantity inventory control procedure is examined and modified for application to time dependent demand processes. An adaptive order point-order quantity procedure is proposed using some of the methodology developed by G.E.P. Box. A digital computer simulation is used to compare the order point-order quantity procedures for different mean demand situations. (Author)
