INTERFACE MOTION IN DISPLACIVE PHASE TRANSFORMATIONS.

Abstract

The report reviews the results of a study of interface motion in displacive phase transformations conducted during the period 1962 to 1967. The structure, morphology and growth kinetics of displacive reactions in beta brass are compared with the corresponding features of the bainite reaction in steel. Detailed results of the study have been presented in a series of publications and graduate theses. A bibliography is included. (Author)
