FUNCTIONAL AREA DESCRIPTION MEDICAL REPORTING ANNEX E, FOR THE STUDY OF A METHOD FOR INTEGRATION OF MEDICAL ACCOUNTING, REPORTING, SUPPLY, AND REGULATING OF THE ARMY IN THE FIELD INTO THE ADSAF PROGRAM.

Abstract

Medical reporting is defined as the extraction of certain information from the patients' health and clinical records by the attending medical facilities and the subsequent summarizations of this information into statistical reports. These data are utilized by those who are directly administering medical and nursing care - surgeons and staff at command levels - and the Office of the Surgeon General (OTSG). The description of health and clinical records is included primarily to provide the consideration of such records as potential sources of information for medical reporting.
