APPLICATION OF REACTION RATE ANALYSIS TO THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF GLASS-REINFORCED PLASTICS.

Abstract

Tensile strength data for 181 glass-cloth-reinforced polyester and epoxy were analyzed according to a modified rate equation. While these materials show somewhat more scatter than was encountered with the thermoplastic materials the agreement was such that a reasonable prediction of behavior could be made. (Author)
