A NEW ANTITWIST ARMOURED SUBMARINE CABLE,

Abstract

This report illustrates the constructional data and the mechanical characteristics of an antitwist armour sheath for deep sea cables are illustrated. The armour consists of steel strands parallel with one another and with the cable axis, embedded in a polyethylene sheath. The results of the test carried out on this cable are also given. (Author)
