FILLER STUDY IN CROSS-LINKED POLYETHYLENE,

Abstract

Some of the physical and electrical properties of cross-linked polyethylene loaded with THERMAX, a medium thermal carbon black, and Atomite, a ground calcium carbonate, were evaluated. These properties were related to the degree of cross-linking obtained by change in peroxide content and time of cure. These properties, original and after hot air aging, have also been compared with filler loadings at three levels. (Author)
