A NOVEL METHOD OF CORE SCREENING POLYETHLENE INSULATED CABLES,

Abstract

A new method of forming a conducting layer on polyethylene has been developed to provide a screen for high voltage plastic insulated cables, which will avoid the risk of ionisation at the insulation boundaries. The possible application to communication cables has not so far been considered, but it seems possible that it will have advantages where high voltage or low noise requirements obtain. (Author)
