SCOPE OF I.P.C.E.A. STANDARDS FOR POLYETHYLENE INSULATED THERMOPLASTIC JACKETED COMMUNICATION CABLES,

Abstract

In July, 1959, the Insulated Power Cable Engineers Association, generally known by the initials I.P.C.E.A., issued the first edition of I.P.C.E.A. publication number S-56-434 titled 'Standards for Polyethylene Insulated, Thermoplastic Jacketed Communication Cables'. It covered aerial and duct cables and direct burial cables, each in a fully color coded Type I and a non color coded Type II construction. Complete Test Procedures were included as a part of the I.P.C.E.A. standards.
