USE OF SILICONES IN SHIPBOARD CABLES,

Abstract

Silicones and silicone treated materials in various forms have found many applications within the Department of the Navy. One of the principal applications in the Bureau of Ships is in the electrical cables designed for use in Naval vessels. This article shows the usage, and outlines some of the problems that were encountered in developing the design and performance characteristics of these cables.
