TRANSMISSION CHARACTERISTICS OF RURAL DISTRIBUTION WIRE AT AUDIO AND CARRIER FREQUENCIES,

Abstract

An effort was made to correlate the theoretical electrical behavior of rural distribution wire and the actual measured characteristics. Primary and secondary constants, representative of the wire during both dry and wet weather, are presented. The transmission characteristics of rural distribution wire generally are more closely related to the 19 gage paper insulated cable than to the present open wire systems. (Author)
