NYLON IN WIRE AND CABLE,

Abstract

Nylon is now moving into a wide variety of military and civilian uses. Its toughness, abrasion resistance, wide temperature range and chemical resistance are solving a host of serious service problems. This report describes a few of these applications and presents data on the properties of the family of 'Zytel' nylon resins. With wider knowledge of the properties, cable designers will be able to exploit 'Zytel' further, solving field problems and reducing costs.
