Abstract

The report reviews research carried out on human performance in information processing and memory. Experimental results and theoretic inferences are presented on the following topics: Taxonomy of human information handling; Selective information handling (including the topics of Selective attention and perception, and Performance factors); Information storage and retrieval (including Characteristics of the message, Time and events preceding retrieval, Events preceding storage, Recognition memory, and Theoretic issues).
